Jewish Calendar

The Jewish calendar has 12 months that follow the cycles on the moon which means that they are between 29-30 days. This results in a year of between 353 – 355 days in length. To re-align the calendar with the 365 days of a year, a 13th month (Adar II) is added in the 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, and 19th years of every 19-year cycle.

This means that the Jewish and Modern calendars are constantly shifting in relation to each other.
